Quotes, Purchase Orders and Invoices

Quotes

For quotes, please contact us with the following information: Name of the product(s) for which you wish a quote, including quantity and size (if applicable) Your name and email address Shipping address Quotes are valid for fifteen days from the date of issue.

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders can be placed through our online store by selecting “Purchase Order” under method of payment or by faxing us at 877-735-9115.

Invoices

Invoices can be prepared for our institutional customers who prefer not to order through the online store. Invoices are payable upon receipt.

Special Orders

We accept orders for a wide variety of archival, paper and laboratory products that we do not currently stock in our webstore. If there is something that you require that you do not see in our online store, please contact us with: A description of the product(s) you require Your name and email address Your shipping address We will issue a quote and provide an estimate as to when the item(s) will be available for shipping, should you decide to order. Once accepted, all special orders are final.

Product Availability

On occasion, a product available for ordering in our store is on back-order. If this is the case with something you have ordered and we do not expect to be able to ship it within our customary 24-72 hours, we will send you an email to inform you of the delay and offer an estimated date of availability. With this information, you may decide whether you would like to wait for the item or receive a refund. An exception to the above are product descriptions that include notification of a delay and an estimated date of availability. Since this information is known to you prior to ordering, we will accept that this means you are willing to wait the noted time.

Payment

All orders are prepaid. Unless a delay with respect to a particular product has been noted in the store or on an invoice, orders generally ship within 24-72 hours of receipt of payment. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Our institutional customers are welcome to contact us if they would prefer to be invoiced (rather than order through the online store) and make alternative payment arrangements.

Sales Tax

Orders will be taxed at the appropriate rate for the province or territory of delivery. Tax-Exemption If you are purchasing on behalf of an organization that is tax-exempt, please register as a customer of our store by clicking the Sign-in link (found on our Home page, below the product categories). Then contact us to inform us of your tax exempt status and provide us with your tax exempt number. We will adjust your account so that tax is not added to any orders you place (you will receive an email from us once this has been done).

Shipping

We ship via Canada Post and (ground) courier. Orders are generally shipped within 24-72 hours of being received (except during holidays and weekends). Special orders usually ship within 7-21 business days. When ordering, please enter your shipping details carefully. Incorrect address information may incur additional shipping costs as Canada Post will return all such shipments to sender without contacting you, or Botanical Supplies, first. Once shipped, prompt delivery is the responsibility of Canada Post or the courier to whom your order is entrusted. While we have no control over delays at this point, we will communicate with the shipper on your behalf to try to rectify any problems. A tracking number for your shipment will be included in your shipping confirmation email. All orders are shipped FOB South Mountain, Ontario.

Returns

We take great care in packaging your order for shipment but, should it arrive damaged, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange for it to be returned and replaced at no additional cost to you. For other returns, we will exchange your purchase or refund your payment (minus shipping charges) if the item(s) are returned within thirty (30) days in the same condition in which they were sold with the following exceptions: special order items, any of our specialty papers and products made of paper (e.g. folders). Sales of these items are final. We reserve the right to charge a 15% re-stocking fee. Refunds are generally processed within 24-72 hours (except during weekends and holidays); however, your bank may take 2-5 days to display a refund on your account. Paper Samples

We want to be certain that the paper from which our mounting papers, blotter paper, species folders and genus covers are made meet your requirements. If you have any concerns, please contact us to request paper samples.

Print Catalogue

Sorry, we do not have a print catalogue of our products at this time. Descriptions of all of our regularly stocked products are available in our online store.

International Orders

We currently ship to addresses located within Canada.
